By Wendy Thorstenson History repeated itself when the Lady Wolverines connected on a buzzer beater to defeat Linton-HMB by one point again this year. Herreid-Selby Area over came an early fourth quarter deficit of seven points for the 44-43 win at Linton on Saturday, Feb. 2. Last season a three-point shot at the buzzer lifted H-SA to a 36-35 win over the Lions.

The Tiger wrestlers finished inthe middleof the pack at the Big Dakota wrestling meet held in Fort Pierre on Saturday, February 2. they finished 8th out of 17 with 78.5 points. Parkston won the event with 283.5 and Winner was second with 145. The Tigers had three place winners. Brad Spiry finished 2nd at 220, David Jensen placed third at 182 and Chase Schoenhard was third at 195.

Lady Tigers clashed with Lady Tigers on Friday night, February 1. It was the Ipswich Lady Tigers that won the match up, 73-32.

The Tigers had to hold off a fourth quarter surge by the Falcons to pull off another win Saturday night, Feb. 2 in Mobridge. Free throw shooting down the stretch helped the Tigers seal their, 70-62, win.

The Lady Tigers managed to hang with the Todd County Falcons for a half but turnovers eventually led to their fall in the second. They fell to the Falcons, 70-47, Saturday night, Feb. 2 in Mobridge.
